The two suspects, identified as Ramón Preciado,53, and his son Christopher Preciado,19, were taken into custody in connection to the murders of Soto and Guerra. During a press conference, San Antonio Police Department representative Washington Moscoso shed light on the involvement of the two suspects. Christopher Preciado, the son, has been charged with capital murder, indicating his alleged direct role in the killings. His father, RamónPreciado, faces charges of abuse of a corpse, suggesting his participation in disposing of the victims’ bodies. The investigation is ongoing, and it is expected that further charges will be filed in connection to the death of Soto’s unborn child, according to TOO FAB.
While the investigation is still in progress, law enforcement officials believe that the murders were linked to a drug deal. As previously reported, the couple’s missing car was found in the parking lot two days after Soto’s scheduled due date. Investigators said Guerra showed signs of a gun being pressed to his skull, and Soto’s body had a gunshot wound.

“It appears that it was a drug deal. Someone was buying, and someone was selling,” Moscoso said. Soto’s tragic murder comes two years after her younger brother Ethan Soto was fatally shot over an alleged dispute over money. Investigators also said Ramon cooperated with the investigation, and there was misinformation surrounding the case.
“These two individuals are the only suspects we were looking for. There were many names being thrown around on the internet. Those people had nothing to do with this.”
On December 21, Guerra reportedly went to Christopher’s home to sell him marijuana, and an arrest affidavit stated the teen claimed Guerra pointed a gun toward him. He said he “manipulated” the weapon, which led to Soto being shot and, in a similar circumstance, killing Guerra. Their bodies were discovered five days later.
