DDG is sharing footage from Halle Bailey‘s pregnancy while discussing their new journey as parents. As The Shade Room previously reported, in October 2023, fans began to speculate that the couple was expecting their first child together.
However, DDG and Bailey did not confirm nor deny the public’s sentiment.
Then, on Saturday, January 6, the couple took to Instagram to reveal they welcomed a baby boy named Halo.

DDG Shares Footage Of Halle Bailey’s Baby Bump
On Sunday, January 7, DDG published a new daily lifestyle vlog on YouTube. During the first sixty seconds of the 14-minute clip, the rapper gave viewers a look at one of Bailey’s 4K ultrasounds, followed by footage of him playfully caressing her baby bump and their baby moon in Bora Bora.

The Rapper Opens Up About Bailey’s Private Pregnancy & Shares Details About Halo
Additionally, DDG titled the vlog “I’m A Dad Now…” For the rest of the footage, he sat down 1:1 with his viewers and opened up about the transition in his and Bailey’s life.”
DDG also shared more information about their son, Halo, and why he and Bailey kept “the news” to themselves.
“I’m a dad. I’m a dad, y’all. I have a son — I have a baby boy. He’s a newborn — he was actually born last year [but] we were just waiting on the right time to basically break the news or whatever. It’s been a lot of speculation…”
The rapper commended fans for their “detective” skills while explaining that it’s been a challenge to keep the birth of their son from paparazzi. However, despite the significant life change, DDG explained that he loves his son so much, and it’s a “different type of feeling.”

Here’s How The Couple Revealed The Infant To The World
As The Shade Room previously reported, Bailey and DDG revealed their son via a photo post on Instagram. At the time, the couple both shared a photo of them holding an infant’s hand.
In the picture, the infant wore a bracelet that read “Halo.”
Furthermore, Bailey confirmed that the child was her and DDG’s son and “the greatest thing that 2023 could have done” for her.
“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️”
Meanwhile, DDG spoke about being “so in love” with Halo.
“My biggest blessing by far 👶🏽❤️ son son.. never been so in love 🥹 baby halo”
