In one recent video, Idriss shares why preventative Botox is not something anyone needs.
“I’m a 39-year-old board certified dermatologist. My focus is on cosmetics, and I’m here to tell you that preventative Botox is actually a joke,” she said. “And you may be asking yourself, what the h— is she talking about, she’s clearly Botoxed. The reality is, I am not.”
She continued to explain that she often sees patients go into her office in their early 20s asking for Botox and she refuses to do it because “they have no signs of aging on their faces.”
She said that Botox should not be started until you see “built in lines that do not disappear at rest.”
“Lines that appear to form permanent deeper grooves on your face, that is when you should start considering ‘preventative Botox,’” she said. “But it’s not really preventative because the lines are actually already there.”
She also explained that many believe that people think they need to get more Botox the moment movement comes back.
“That is wrong on all counts. I much prefer your movement come back slowly and naturally so that you do not lose the essence of your face by the time you hit 40,” she continued. “Botox should be used as an adjunct to a skincare routine and a solid skincare routine is where prevention starts.”

Many of her followers dropped into the comment section to share their thoughts. Many stated that they disagree.
“I started Botox at 23. 10 years later and people don’t believe me when I tell them my age. Each to their own!” one viewer wrote. Another added, “I started Botox at 27 I get my face frozen. It lasts the whole year. I love it, lol.”
Others thanked her for her honesty.
“I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR HONESTY !! You could be making money off these young women, but you are the best kind of physician out there. THANK YOU,” one person wrote. Another said, “Wow thank you for this honesty.”

In another viral video that’s pinned to the top of her TikTok page, Idriss shares her best tips for clearing pores of blackheads and sebaceous filament on your nose.
In her video, she shares information on how to differentiate blackheads from sebaceous filament and how to get smoothness on your nose.
“I’ve seen a lot of videos on TikTok telling people to use oil cleansers to massage the sebaceous filaments to get those out. The reality is if you are extremely oily or prone to clogging, that might not be the best idea. I tried it, it was a disaster,” she said. “Instead, take a sulfur based cleanser and use it along your nose and let it sit for a few minutes.”
