Pete Davidson (The King of Staten Island, Dumb Money) has joined the cast of the heist comedy The Pickup, alongside previously announced cast member Eddie Murphy (Beverly Hills Cop, The Nutty Professor). The two Saturday Night Live alumni will star in the pic that is being directed by Tim Story (Taxi, Ride Along).
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the film was written by Matt Mider and Kevin Burrows, who previously worked together in writing the film The Package and creating the series Gentlemen Lobsters. The only info the studio is releasing about the upcoming film is that it is being described as a heist comedy.
Davidson was most recently featured in the dramedy bio feature Dumb Money, and he is currently on his 2023 stand-up tour across the U.S.
Murphy just starred in and produced Candy Cane Lane, which premiered December 1 on Prime Video.
