‘Barbie’ leads the charge with nine nominations on the film side, followed by ‘Oppenheimer’ which scored six nominations. ‘Only Murders in the Building’ leads the charge for TV with seven nods, followed by ‘Ted Lasso’, ‘The Morning Show’ and ‘The Last of Us’ with six nods each.
Barbenheimer, once again, leads the pack.
The 2024 People’s Choice Awards nominations were announced Thursday, and Barbie and Oppenheimer find themselves at the top of the list.
On the film side, Barbie dominates with nine nominations, including Movie of the Year, Comedy of the Year and Male and Female Movie Star of 2023 nods for Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
Oppenheimer was not far behind, earning a total of six nominations. Other top film nominees include The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
The world of television, meanwhile, sees Only Murders in the Building at the top, leading the pack with seven nods, followed by Ted Lasso, The Morning Show and The Last of Us with six nods each and The Bear and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit with five nominations apiece.

The People’s Choice Awards also honors some of the biggest names in music, with Luke Combs, Nicki Minaj, Morgan Wallen and Taylor Swift each up for five awards, with Swift nominated for her concert film, The Eras Tour, which is up for movie of the year.
This year’s show also sees the addition of a few new categories in music, including Male Country Artist, Female Country Artist, Male Latin Artist, Female Latin Artist and Concert Tour.
The show also sees several pop culture categories, including Social Star of the Year and Athlete of the Year.
Simu Liu, who is a nominated for his role in Barbie, is set to host the show, which will air live February 18 at at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT simultaneously on NBC, Peacock and E! from Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar.
Voting for the People’s Choice Awards is now open and fans worldwide can support their favorite nominee in each of the 45 categories representing movies, television, music and pop culture. Voting runs from Jan. 11 through Jan. 19 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Fans can vote online at www.votepca.com.
