Calvin Harris’ mastery of the art of four-on-the-floor has been crystallized in Billboard dance lore.
Thanks to “Body Moving,” the prolific producer today broke the record for the most #1 releases in the 20-year history of Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, the outlet announced. A collaboration with first-time U.S. chart-topper Eliza Rose, the song is Harris’ 14th #1 and breaks him out of a tie with French hitmaker David Guetta.
Harris’ first #1 on the chart was 2012’s “Feel So Close,” which is now prevalently regarded as a generational dance anthem. Dance music artists on the ladder’s next rungs include The Chainsmokers, who have eight #1s, and Anabel Englund, ILLENIUM, Tiësto and Zedd, all of whom have garnered five.
“Body Moving” released back in November 2023. The effervescent and sultry dance track, which dropped on the iconic Ministry of Sound label, dropped alongside a vintage glamour-inspired music video directed by Jeanie Crystal.
