Baltimore County Public Schools have reportedly launched an investigation on a man named Eric Eiswert who is the principal at Pikesville High. According to wmar2news, the principal was caught on tape making derogatory remarks about students and staff members.
In the audio that is currently going viral on social media, the principal can be heard ranting about teacher “inadequacies” and low test scores of Black students. He also made some remarks about Jewish families in the community. “You know I seriously don’t understand why I have to constantly put up with these dumb a**es every day,” he said. “Between these ungrateful black kids who can’t test their way out of a paper bag or these teachers who don’t get it. How hard is it to get these students to meet their grade level expectations?”

He continued, “I’m just so sick of the inadequacies of these people, and if I get one more complaint from one more jew in this community I’m going to join the other side.” Superintendent Myriam Rogers released a statement about the recording. “I understand how upsetting this recording is for many members of the Team BCPS community,” said Rogers. “We will not tolerate disparaging remarks about any member of the Team BCPS community.”
Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski also issued a statement and said those comments that were on the recording hold no place in their community.
“Hate, discrimination, and prejudice have no place in our community — especially in our schools. The statements being circulated are abhorrent and my administration is providing our full support to BCPS as they conduct as they conduct a thorough investigation. Following the conclusion of this investigation, I know swift action will be taken to hold those involved accountable.”
Baltimore County Council chairman Izzy Patoka, who represents the Pikesville area, added he was looking into the situation as well.

Rogers said the school system has not yet confirmed the veracity of the recording, but is working to do so.
“Although BCPS cannot confirm the veracity of this recording at this time, we are taking this matter seriously and have launched an investigation,” Rogers said. “Once we have determined the facts, we will swiftly address this incident.”
