It appears as though Marshmello’s previously-teased heavy era is only just beginning.
Earlier in the month, Mello debuted an unreleased collaboration with Space Laces during his performance at Thailand’s 808 Festival. Now, the masked EDM superstar has teamed up with another one of modern-day bass music’s stars and the man behind the genre’s most talked-about song last year, HOL!.
The producer responsible for “Country Riddim” took to X to share a snippet of his upcoming track with Marshmello. Showcasing just 16 seconds of the unreleased track, HOL! gave fans a taste of the song’s build-up before the lyrics, “Y’all better get with the movement” give way to stomping bass with streaks of color. The song feels like a perfectly measured blend of Marshmello’s signature sound and that of bass music’s most exciting up-and-comer.
At the time of writing, the title and release date of HOL! and Marshmello’s upcoming collaboration are not yet known. Check out the preview below.
