After staring down the specter of mortality, Michael Bibi is closing one inspiring chapter and opening another at a historic show in London.
The influential DJ is set for a momentous hometown performance at London’s Finsbury Park, where he’ll headline the biggest electronic show ever to take place in the capital, according to a press release shared with EDM.com. The 45,000-capacity concert is scheduled for July 6th, 2024.
“I’m excited to give something back to my hometown after all the support and love I received during my cancer treatment,” said Bibi, who is now cancer-free after beating CNS Lymphoma, which attacks the central nervous system and is categorized by malignant cells forming in the brain and spinal cord.
In a story fit for Hollywood scripts, Bibi is now writing his own feel-good ending after emphatically ringing the bell in late-2023. He’s now burning rubber on the road of ambition with a celebratory world tour, “One Life,” the proceeds of which will benefit a number of cancer charities.
“We’re hugely grateful to Michael for his generous support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity as part of his upcoming London show,” said Vicky Johnson, Associate Director of Public Fundraising and Engagement at The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, where Bibi received his treatment. “Money raised helps the incredible team at the charity to continue to provide the very best treatment and care and drives forward life-saving research to develop new treatments for the benefit of cancer patients globally.”
Fans who want to attend the London show can access pre-sale tickets and receive an exclusive link to purchase from 9am GMT on Friday, January 26th.
