A US veteran assisted a Florida woman whose driveway was stolen, restoring her land and bringing a heartwarming end to the story. Mikol Rowland, a retired military personnel now owning a concrete company, was shocked when he heard about Amanda Brochu’s unfortunate incident.

Brochu had recently put her home up for sale when alleged contractors approached her to measure the driveway for replacement cost estimation. Confused, Brochu sent them away, but a few days later, a bulldozer arrived and tore up her entire driveway, leaving only mud behind. Rowland described the situation as “unbelievable” and offered help.
Rowland called Brochu and offered to replace her driveway for free, as he saw an opportunity to bring some good into the world. He started filing permits with Orange County, and last Friday, his plan received approval. On Wednesday, a concrete truck arrived at Brochu’s house and poured fresh concrete over the dirt left behind by the thieves, restoring her driveway in a matter of minutes. Rowland estimated that the work cost his company around $4,000. Still, he was happy with his decision, especially after learning that Brochu had donated the money from her GoFundMe to charity, according to WFTV9.

Brochu donated the funds to The Russell Home, a charity caring for severely disabled infants, children, and adults since the 1950s. Rowland expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, stating that he would do it all over again if given the chance to help the kids. He described it as a win-win situation for everyone involved and expressed joy in hearing a positive story in the news. Although the scammer responsible for the theft has not been caught, Brochu is content with the resolution. She stated that she was happy to finally have her driveway put in and put an end to the unfortunate situation she had experienced.
“I was put in a bad situation, but there’s a beautiful outcome to the story. I’m happy I’m finally getting the driveway put in and put an end to this madness.”
As previously reported, Brochu placed her home for sale a few weeks ago when she learned that her entire driveway had been stolen and made headlines nationwide.
