How many jellybeans would it take to fill up Kelly Bensimon’s former mansion?
According to Brandi Glanville, it doesn’t seem to matter – Kelly would probably lie about it. On a recent episode of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, Kelly suggested that she raised her two girls without financial help from her ex.
But Brandi smells a different story, and she claims there was more sugar than Kelly admits.
On her Unfiltered podcast, Brandi claimed Kelly lied about getting “nothing” from ex-husband Gilles Bensimon – whose reported net worth is $20 to $30 million – after their divorce. She also said Kelly lied about solely supporting her two girls financially.
“She claims that she didn’t get anything from her ex-husband,” said Brandi while interviewing Kelly’s co-star Kristen Taekman, via allabouttrh.com. “I’m sorry, but that’s just not true… If someone gives you a $12 million house in the Hamptons you’ve got something and I promise you, she didn’t get nothing. It’s just impossible.”
“You saw her house in the [RHUGT] promos,” Brandi continued. “The way she lives, the kids. The whole I came from nothing and I built everything on my own, it’s just there’s no way – he was so rich – that she got nothing.”
Kristen questioned whether Brandi believes Kelly’s 79-year-old ex-husband is wealthy.
“Yes. I do,” Brandi answered. “Gilles Bensimon? 100 percent. He was a huge fashion photographer. He shot every cover of ELLE … I’m sorry, she got stuff. Trust me, she didn’t get what I got which was s–t.”
Per All About TRH, Kelly married Gilles in 1997, and they divorced a decade later. According to reports, Kelly kept their East Hampton mansion in the divorce settlement, but she sold it in 2012 for $5.76 million.
