Vanderpump Rules' Brock Davies Shares "Best and Worst" Parts of Marriage to Scheana as She Talks Parenting Differences and They Slam Nick Viall's Age Gap With Fiancee Natalie Joy

Brock Davies revealed the best and worst parts of his marriage to Scheana Shay on Friday’s episode of her podcast.

Before the Vanderpump Rules cast members took aim at Nick Viall, 43, who previously shaded Brock, 32, on his own podcast, giving a nod to Charli Burnett‘s suggestion that he’s a “payroll husband,” Brock opened up about his relationship with Scheana, 38, as Scheana admitted that their “parenting differences” for daughter Summer Moon, 2, are “hard” to work through.

“What’s the best and worst things about being married to me?” Scheana asked on the January 12 episode of Scheananigans.

“I think they are both the same,” Brock replied. “The best part about being married to you is the fact that you just make sure things get done. I think the worst part about being married to you is the fact you want everything to be done in a particular way. So it is both of them.”

After hearing what her husband had to say, Scheana mentioned their different stances on parenting.

“It’s tough. I’m not going to lie,” she shared. “It is something that requires a lot of compromise and meeting in the middle. I understand when he wants to be really strict with the schedule. The long-term benefits of that, and Brock is the first person to not suggest something without actually researching it.”

According to Scheana, she’s more of a “yes parent” than Brock.

“It is hard with the parenting differences because I just want to give her whatever she wants. And I want to keep her calm and happy and say yes to everything. But I know that that’s not what’s best for her in the long run,” she stated.

During another moment of the podcast, Scheana and Brock addressed Nick’s criticism, with Scheana first saying that she’s been a subject on the last several episodes because Nick “has nothing else to talk about.”

“He keeps bringing Charli on. [Katie Maloney] and [Dayna Kathan] just did an episode recently. But one thing I’ll say is, I actually, maybe this was naive of me to think, but I actually thought Nick and I were friends,” Scheana revealed. “I’ve known him for years, I’ve got his phone number. We’ve done some social media things together. I’ve guested on his podcast and I actually thought we were friends.”

Looking back at Nick’s past episodes, Scheana said that after Charli called Brock a “payroll husband” on one show, Nick referred to him as that during the episode with Katie, 36, and Dayna, 33.

“So I’m like, ‘Let’s break this down.’ What does that mean? Does that mean that I pay you to be my husband, that I treat you like an employee, that I earn more money than my husband?” Scheana wondered. “Because yes, that’s true. That’s not a secret. And also, I don’t see what’s wrong with earning more money than my husband. I feel like it seems a bit misogynistic that the woman can’t be the breadwinner in the family.”

As Scheana noted, support comes in many forms for a family.

“Financial support is just one of them. You support me and this family in so many ways that I wouldn’t be able to do as much as I do, even with this podcast, and have the freedom of changing schedules and all of that if I didn’t have you at home as much as you are able to be, to work from home, to support me in that way,” she told Brock. “So that really irked me, when also [Nick’s fiancée, Natalie Joy] is literally on the payroll. So I’m like, ‘That is rich coming from you.’”

After Scheana gave a nod to Natalie, Brock put a spotlight on the age gap between Nick and the 24-year-old model.

“Nick Viall, I want to stay positive, but like bro, if your wife was the lead role in your family and you have a kid, what would you do if you were to stay home? There’s no need to be calling [me out],” he began. “Plus, I’m just gonna point out, the guy is 42. He went on a dating show, another dating show, another dating show … all of those three dating shows and left with nobody and then now, he was 38 [when he met his] 20-year-old [fiancée].”

“I am not going to read into that. You do whatever you want buddy. Just understand, when you’re dealing with a family, roles change sometimes,” Brock added.

Vanderpump Rules season 11 premieres on Tuesday, January 30, at 8/7c on Bravo.
