5 Questions with Rodney Barnes

The Black Comic Lords checked in with writer and producer Rodney Barnes to ask five questions (and one bonus) about Killadelphia and beyond.

1. The Killadelphia fan community has to know, what is the progress of the Killadelphia show, roughly when might we see it on the screen, and what else can you tell us now about the show?

2. We can tell from the solicits that Spawn, Savage Dragon, Nita Hawes, Blacula, and Harriett Tubman will all be appearing in Killadelphia?

3. Will there be a single issue with all of these characters in it?

4. Will you ever create a monster hunter team for Toussaint L’Ouverture?

5. Do you see yourself writing more Luke Cage in the future?

The Killadelphia fan community has to know, what is the progress of the Killadelphia show, roughly when might we see it on the screen, and what else can you tell us now about the show?I wrote a pilot and am in process of rewriting it. The late, great Andre Braugher was attached to play James Sangster and it truly hurts to not be able to see him bring the character to life. I am a huge fan of his and it was an honor to discuss both Killadelphia and the part with him. He loved Seesaw. That said we’re looking to package the show and lord willing we’ll have an update to share with the world shortly.

We can tell from the solicits that Spawn, Savage Dragon, Nita Hawes, Blacula, and Harriett Tubman will all be appearing in Killadelphia?As of this writing Spawn, savage dragon and Blacula have appeared. In regards to Harriett Tubman? We shall see.

Will there be a single issue with all of these characters in it?For the first three characters, yes!

Will you ever create a monster hunter team for Toussaint L’Ouverture?It’s possible. There are so many characters in Killadelphia it’s tough to service them all. But I’d love to do one shots to highlight their individual exploits.
