Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man 2 Suit Can Now Be Bought for This Whopping Price

Hulu’s latest murder mystery Death and Other Details is attracting a lot of eyes to the screens. But many who are planning to watch it wish to know about its age rating and other details. Is the new ‘whodunnit’ series safe for kids and teens to watch? Here’s all the necessary information you need.

What is the Death and Other Details age rating?

Death and Other Details is rated TV-MA and is meant for mature audiences only.

The murder mystery features an intriguing narrative involving a stellar and stylish cast aboard a ship. But unlike some other ‘whodunnit’ stories, it is rated TV-MA, which is equivalent to an R rating for a film. While it features moderate profanity and gore, there is quite a bit of nudity involved to justify the mature rating.

Is Death and Other Details safe for kids to watch?

No, Death and Other Details is not appropriate for kids or audiences under 17 years of age.

The series features mature themes of murder and sexuality. While its level of violence and gore might be passable for a PG-13/TV-14 audience, the show is certainly not suitable for kids. The biggest reason for that is its multiple sequences of sexual nature which include frontal nudity.

Furthermore, there are several “F-bombs” dropped while other milder swear terms are scattered across the episodes. Another reason that it isn’t suitable for kids is that there are scenes depicting drug and alcohol use.

So, parents are advised to take necessary precautions as Death and Other Details contains content that is inappropriate for both children and young teens under 17.

The official synopsis for the series reads:

“How do you solve a murder in a post-fact world? Especially when sailing the Mediterranean on an ocean liner filled with the wealthy and powerful. Everyone on board is hiding something… but is one of them a killer? That’s what the world’s once greatest detective, Rufus Cotesworth, and his protégée, Imogene, aim to discover.”

For more updates on the show, learn if it could get a second season. Also, look into our breakdown of episode 3.
