October 31-November 2 Box Office Recap – On a slow Halloween weekend, ‘Black Phone 2’ returns to #1, and crosses $100M worldwide. ‘Bugonia’ opens with a solid $5M domestically, the best ever debut for Yorgos Lanthimos.

Revealed in a tweet shared by IGN, the new Dune: Part Two poster features cast members Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, and Souheila Yacoub.

Pictured at the bottom of the poster, which can be viewed below, is also a giant sandworm.

What is Dune: Part Two about?

“Dune: Part Two will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a path of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family,” the synopsis reads. “Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.”

Dune: Part Two is once again directed by Villeneuve, who also directed 2021’s Dune along with 2013’s Prisoners, 2016’s Arrival, 2017’s Blade Runner 2049, and more. Villeneuve also co-wrote the screenplay, which is based on Frank Herbert’s novel, with Jon Spaihts.

Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Villeneuve, Tanya Lapointe, and Patrick McCormick serve as producers for Dune: Part Two, while executive producers include Joshua Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, Kim Herbert, and Kevin J. Anderson serving as creative consultant.

In addition to the aforementioned cast, Dune: Part Two also stars Christopher Walken, Léa Seydoux, Charlotte Rampling, and Tim Blake Nelson.

Originally scheduled to release in 2023 but delayed because of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) strikes, Dune: Part Two releases in United States theaters and IMAX on March 1, 2024, from Warner Bros. Pictures.

Select locations will show the film in IMAX 70 mm once it opens in March.
