RHOBH co-stars Crystal Minkoff and Dorit Kemsley threw shade at each other after Annemarie Wiley stirred the pot, claiming Crystal talked poorly about the RHOBH cast.
On Wednesday’s episode of RHOBH, Dorit Kemsley revealed that she thinks co-star Crystal Minkoff was a “child bride” because she got married at the age of 24.
This comes after RHOBH newbie Annemarie Wiley puts Crystal on blast in front of the group. According to Annemarie, Crystal goes around mocking the RHOBH casts’ intelligence level and their superficiality.
“The first thing Crystal said to me about this group of women was that you ladies were not intelligent, nobody was educated and you’re all shallow,” Annemarie tells the group during dinner, prompting Crystal, 40, to reply, “Shallow and uneducated? That’s ridiculous. That’s ridiculous.”
Crystal went on to deny the RHOBH rookie’s claims, saying, “I would not say that to someone that I just met. I don’t feel that way … I didn’t say that.”
In her confessional, she adds, “That’s false. I never said those things.”
Dorit takes offence and throws some shade at Crystal in her RHOBH confessional interview.
“You’re nowhere near more educated than the rest of us. And by the way, child bride, while you were busy getting married at 12, the rest of us were building businesses, graduating college, doing things — you know — to educate ourselves.”
Crystal, who has degrees in biology and history, as well as culinary education from the University of California, Irvine, married her husband, Rob Minkoff, in September 2007. The director, who is 21 years Crystal’s senior, was 45 at the time.
As for Dorit, she graduation from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut with degrees in marking and communication. She married husband, Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley in March 2015 at the age of 38.
When it comes to Crystal thinking she’s smarter that her RHOBH cohorts there is a history of her making similar comments in the past.
In a 2020 confessional interview, Crystal said “These women are quite savvy, but they’re clearly not highly educated.”
That same season, Crystal then told her RHOH co-stars: “I’m not gonna change the word that I used. The word was used correctly. … Violation means to abuse your privacy. Disrespect of boundaries. Period. Google it!”
Then in 2021, during an RHOBH cast dinner, Crystal said, “I know, these are big words,” to which Garcelle Beauvais replied, “We understand big words.”
This all leads Garcelle to believe Annemarie’s claims despite Crystal insisting they aren’t true.
“Do we have a history with Crystal thinking maybe we were less smart than her?” the actress said in her confessional on Wednesday night’s episode of RHOBH. “We kinda already knew that Crystal thinks that maybe some of us are not as astute as she is. There’s a word for her!”
Meanwhile, after Wednesday’s episode of RHOBH aired, Crystal fired back at Dorit’s claim she was a “child bride.”
The 40-year-old called out PK for “borrowing diamond necklaces” for Dorit and “acquiring massive amounts of debt.”
On Instagram, alongside a photo from her wedding to Rob, Crystal wrote:
“Keys to a successful marriage:
-Set aside quality time together
-Express love and appreciation
-Manage conflict constructively
-Buy, don’t borrow diamond necklaces for your wife.
In the comments of her post, Crystal pinned the commented: “Don’t acquire massive amounts of debt.”
She also replied to it, writing, “NUMBER ONE.”
