Dennis DeYoung Wants Rock Hall To Change Their ‘Shameful’ Ways

In a strong show of solidarity and social awareness, ILLENIUM has announced he’s teaming up with End Overdose for a critical collaborative fundraising effort.

End Overdose, a trailblazing organization combatting the opioid crisis, has begun efforts to raise $25,000 and in a harmonious twist, ILLENIUM has pledged to match each donation dollar for dollar up to their goal. Moreover, five lucky donors will receive a grand prize of attendance at this year’s “Trilogy” offshoot in Los Angeles, an autographed jersey and participation in an in-person naloxone training session with ILLENIUM at the show.

The significance of the effort is amplified by the fact that End Overdose trained over 216,000 individuals in administering naloxone, a crucial medication used in the reversal of opioid overdoses, last year alone and distributed nearly 167,000 doses of the life-saving drug.

End Overdose

Deeply rooted in ILLENIUM’s own experiences, the initiative aims to give back to the community and provide a lifeline to those grappling with similar challenges. We caught up with the Grammy-nominated electronic music superstar back in April to discuss his ongoing partnership with End Overdose, one of EDM.com’s best industry leaders of 2022.

“Coming out of that, being at such a bottom… I was so powerless at that point that I was willing to pretty much do whatever I could do,” ILLENIUM said of his 2012 heroin overdose. “Spend my time with whoever I could. I didn’t want to lose my family. I wanted to love myself eventually. I wanted to care. Music did that for me massively. That’s why I started making music. That’s why I got so obsessed with electronic music.”

ILLENIUM’s “Trilogy: Los Angeles” performances are scheduled for February 2nd and 3rd, 2024.
