‘Love and Hip Hop’ alum Moniece Slaughter is condemning Megan Thee Stallion over her viral “Megan’s Law” bar from her “diss track” called “Hiss.” Slaughter suggests Megan Kanka’s family should sue the Houston rapper, an idea Nicki Minaj seemingly supports.

As we’ve previously reported, on Friday (January 26), Megan Thee Stallion released her new track “Hiss,” and rapped, “These h**s don’t be mad at Megan, these h**s mad at Megan’s Law.” The bar references the federal law that requires convicted sex offenders to register with their local Sheriff’s Department and make information available to the public regarding their crimes and current address.
Like the song, Megan’s bar itself immediately went viral, and most social media users say that line was what directly caused Nicki Minaj to spiral and go off on several rants — as it was taken as a direct shot to her husband Kenneth Petty, who was convicted as a sex offender in 1995.

Since Nicki Minaj’s attack on Megan Thee Stallion via various rants on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram Live, former ‘Love and Hip Hop’ star Moniece Slaughter has now taken up an issue with Megan’s “Megan’s Law” bar — and Minaj seemingly agrees with her sentiments as she reposted the tweets.
Slaughter has apparently taken up an issue with the Houston rapper seemingly exploiting the landmark legislation and its greater meaning for entertainment. She even suggested Megan Kanka’s family sue “for every red cent.”

Taking to her account on X on Sunday (January 28), Slaughter wrote, “Imagine your 7yr old daughter is r*ped & m*rdered by a neighbor. You fight for legislation to be passed. He’s put on death row but the d*ath penalty was abolished in that state. So his sentence was commuted to life without parole. So now you have to live without your baby. You have to live in using that the k*ller is still alive and well. A law in your departed daughter’s name & honor is passed. AND now for the first time in over a decade, your daughter is trending. Your wound is reopened because a b*tch used it as a bar in a diss track. Smh.”
Slaughter continued, “If I were Megan Kanka’s family I would take every red cent from those single sales. I’d lawyer up and that video would be snatched from every platform I’d sue for emotional damages and I’d demand that the bar be changed and I’d gag order the artist. Period! Don’t profit off my pain or my child’s passing. It’s low AF.”

When one fan tweeted, “Valid point … I didn’t even think about it like that,” Slaughter responded, “I don’t know how NOBODY has spoken about THAT part of this ENTIRE ordeal. It was literally my very FIRST thought. The minute I heard the clip online, immediately thought about Megan Kanka’s family. And her her case. And to use that as a dart to toss at someone else is UNHINGED!”
