Episode 9 of Marry My Husband, starring Park Min-Young as the lead Kang Ji-Won, arrived on tvN and on Prime Video on Monday, January 29, 2024. The episode has a set of highly engaging and astounding events. In the new episode, Park Min-Young’s Kang Ji-Won takes charge and continues her plan to change her destiny for good.
Marry My Husband episode 9 sees Ji-Won meeting her would-be in-laws for the first time in her second chance at life. In the episode, she makes Park Min-Hwan (Lee Yi-Kyung) spend a lot of money on buying her expensive clothes and shoes for the meeting with the parents. Viewers can also see her getting into a heated argument with Min-Hwan’s mother, leading to the cancellation of the wedding.
Marry My Husband episode 9: Park Min-Young breaks up with Lee Yi-Kyung & calls off their wedding
The show’s ninth episode begins right where the previous episode 8 ends with the grand engagement of Kang Ji-Won Park Min-Young and Park Min-Hwan (Lee Yi-Kyung). Jung Soo-Min (Song Ha-Yoon) is angry after Min-Hwan proposes to Ji-Won for marriage. Later that night, Soo-Min tries to talk to Ji-Won and asks her for forgiveness for her earlier mean actions. Ji-Won intentionally jumps into the deep water when she does not forgive her.
As Ji-Won is still quite pure at heart, she jumps into the water immediately to save her. While there, Soo-Min tries to pull Ji-Won deeper into the water with a sinister smile. It looks like she does not care for her and Ji-Won’s lives. However, the situation did not worsen as Yoo Ji-Hyuk (Na-In-Woo) arrived at the right time. Both of them come out of the water and are safe. But Ji-Won is quite traumatized by what Soo-Min does to her underwater.
Episode 9 of Marry My Husband takes an exciting turn when Ji-Won decides to put Min-Hwan in trouble by going on a shopping spree. She makes him buy her several expensive clothes, shoes, and a super expensive bag. She does it for their upcoming meeting with Min-Hwan’s parents. When the day of their first meeting finally arrives, Ji-Won ensures she has the upper hand over everyone.
The meeting occurs at Baek Eun-Ho’s (Lee Gi-Kwang) new restaurant. Ji-Won deliberately arrives late at the meeting, irritating Min-Hwan and his parents. On top of that, she comes wearing a fierce and bold outfit, which looks stunning but does not fit well with Min-Hwan’s mother’s super-conservative mind. While eating there, they all engage in a conversation regarding how Ji-Won should be after the marriage.
Min-Hwan’s mother keeps giving the list of household things that Ji-Won must do after her and Min-Hwan’s wedding. The list includes caring for the whole family, feeding them well, cleaning the house, and raising their children properly. Ji-Won at first agrees to whatever Min-Hwan’s mother suggests. However, Ji-Won becomes furious when she starts talking about how Ji-Won did not receive a proper upbringing due to her family conditions and insulted her father.
At the end of the new Marry My Husband episode, Ji-Won gives Min-Hwan’s mother a good amount of schooling by calling out her mean and hurtful words. She then calls off the wedding with Min-Hwan and storms up of the restaurant. When Min-Hwan tries to stop her from breaking up with him and leaving the place, she uses her newly learned martial arts skills and flips him over to the ground. The episode ends right there.
