According to Variety, Taylor Sheridan‘s upcoming Paramount+ series Landman has officially tapped four new series regulars who will join lead star Billy Bob Thornton.
Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Mark Collie and Paulina Chávez have been cast for the respective roles of Rebecca Savage, Dale Bradley, Sheriff Joeberg and Ariana. Listed below are their full character descriptions:
Wallace’s Rebecca is an extremely capable and intimidating liability attorney sent to West Texas to clean up a mess.
Jordan’s Dale is a petroleum engineer and a blue-collar bear of a man who manages and works with roughnecks in the oil fields. He’s also Tommy Norris’ (Thornton) roommate.
Collie’s Joeberg is a West Texas sheriff.
Chávez’s Ariana is a young mother whose family has suffered a misfortune.
What to expect in Landman?
Landman is created and executive produced by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace. Based on the Boomtown podcast, the series takes place in West Texas, which is described as the world of oil rigs. “It tells an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics,” reads the logline.
In addition to Thornton, the series will also star Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph and Jacob Lofland. Executive producers are David Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman, Stephen Kay, Dan Friedkin, Jason Hoch, J.K. Nickell, Megan Creydt, and Peter Feldman.
