Kyle Richards responds to learning that Erika Jayne wanted her to be “eviscerated” by Andy Cohen at the RHOBH season 13 reunion over Mauricio Umansky split drama.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills OG Kyle Richards recently appeared on E! News where she revealed that she wasn’t happy with Erika Jayne’s comments about wanting her to be “eviscerated” at the season 13 reunion but admits she understood where her co-star was coming from.
“With Erika, with all the years she’s been on the show, and she’s been my friend, she’s never stabbed me in the back,” Kyle told E! News. “She’s always been supportive and I really trust her. And I consider her a friend. And I, honestly — I’m not going to lie that stung. It hurt me.”
She continued, “Because I’m having hard week as it is. So I was a little sensitive when I heard that.”
Kyle Richards also notes that Erika did give her a heads up about her comment before her episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen aired on Bravo.
“I believe that she went through such a hard time last year,” Kyle explained. “She was just kind of saying [to Andy], ‘You basically tortured me. Torture everyone else the same.’”
Meanwhile, just before Andy Cohen sat down to film the season 13 reunion with the RHOBH cast on Friday, January 26th, the WWHL host revealed he thoughts on Erika wanting him to “eviscerate” Kyle at the reunion.
“My plan is never to eviscerate anyone, but I always ask the questions that need to be asked,” he told Entertainment Tonight.
“Kyle has been very forthcoming with me since we wrapped filming about where she is with Mauricio,” he continued. “I expect that to continue at the reunion, which we tape on Friday.”
On the January 17 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Erika told Andy Cohen that she wanted Kyle to be grilled over her split from husband Mauricio Umansky at the RHOBH season 13 reunion.
“As somebody who got eviscerated, I would like to see everybody get the same treatment,” Erika told Andy. “I love her. She’s a dear friend of mine. But fair is fair.”
The Pretty Mess singer found herself in the hot seat at the RHOBH season 11 reunion when Andy grilled her over the alleged crimes of her estranged husband Tom Girardi. Andy also peppered Erika on whether or not she knew about Tom’s alleged crimes and why she stayed with him for more than two decades of marriage.
Kyle Richards will most likely find herself in a similar situation at the RHOBH reunion when it airs. However, Andy has noted that Kyle has “answered every question” he asked about her and Mauricio’s relationship and split.
While filming season 13 of RHOBH in early to mid-2023, Kyle admitted to her co-stars that things weren’t good in her marriage but didn’t divulge any further details.
The status of Kyle and Mauricio’s relationship came to a head in July when reports surfaced that the RHOBH couple of nearly 30 years were separating. Initially, the two denied the claims but later confirmed that they were, in fact, separating.
Since then, both have been open about the fact that their marriage is struggling. The two are currently in therapy to work on their relationship and are not currently talking about “divorce,” but it seems highly likely that the two may end up splitting for good.
