On this week’s episode of RHOBH, Kyle Richards admits she and Mauricio Umanksy “need help” in their marriage and fears they won’t “end up together.
During Wednesday’s episode of RHOBH, Kyle Richards got into the nitty gritty of her marital issues with husband, Mauricio Umansky.
Kyle revealed that she and Mauricio were in therapy and were working on things as they try to identify the issues in their marriage.
While chatting with RHOBH co-star Dorit Kemsley, Kyle explained that she and Mauricio rarely fight, which sounds good on paper but the RHOBH OG notes that their lack of arguments has negatively affected their communication with each other.
“So often it’s like, something will bother one of us and it’s like we’d just rather be peaceful and just not deal,” she continued. “I am more the one that will say ‘this upsets me’ and I have that fiery side where he’s more like just wants to be peaceful all the time, but that’s not always a good thing.”
The RHOBH OG also noted that Mauricio’s constant traveling for The Agency and their mutually busy schedules have caused what seems like an irreparable rift in their relationship. She adds that Mauricio’s absence has made him miss out on important event in their family’s lives.
“I almost feel like he thinks ‘give Kyle some time and she’ll get over and she’ll be fine’ but I’m telling him … it’s a lot more than that,” she confessed. “We need help.”
The mom of four explains that Mauricio’s attention has been divided between work and family as his tries to keep up with his rapidly growing real estate empire. She also shared how Mauricio’s decision to take on more responsibility at work has forced him to pour all of his “energy” into solving work issues which gives him very little time to focus on their marriage and its problems.
After calling out the real estate mogul for treating his business like “his child,” the RHOBH OG wondered, “So I’m like, if we’re having these issues, why can’t you give [me] that energy?”
Kyle continued in her RHOBH confessional, “I’ve supported him through everything since day 1 when he had nothing, and when I told him that we are in trouble and I need you to work through this with me, I needed to feel like I was a priority and we were a priority.”
“If there’s no effort made or put into us, we’re not going to end up together,” she continued. “We’ll never survive this.”
While filming season 13 of RHOBH in early to mid-2023, Kyle admitted to her co-stars that things weren’t good in her marriage but didn’t divulge any further details.
The status of Kyle and Mauricio’s relationship came to a head in July when reports surfaced that the RHOBH couple of nearly 30 years were separating. Initially, the two denied the claims but later confirmed that they were, in fact, separating.
Since then, both have been open about the fact that their marriage is struggling. The two are currently in therapy to work on their relationship and are not currently talking about “divorce,” but it seems highly likely that the two may end up splitting for good.
