Recent rumors have been circulating online, suggesting that Drake may have played a role in the divorce of Bobbi Althoff. However, it turns out that the speculation is far from the truth.

Bobbi Althoff’s estranged husband, Cory, cited July 4, ’23, as the day they separated, which coincided with Bobbi’s viral interview with Drake. In the interview, they were seen in bed together, which led fans to speculate about their relationship. However, sources with direct knowledge have revealed that Drake was not a fan of Bobbi towards the end of the summer last year. In fact, they allegedly had a major falling out post-interview, although they remained friendly in the immediate aftermath.

Despite their falling out, Drake and Bobbi continued texting each other after the interview. In fact, Drake even invited Bobbi to his concert in Los Angeles on August 12. Unfortunately, she was only offered general admission tickets, which left her feeling angry and disappointed, according to reports. Bobbi believed she deserved to be in the VIP area with Drake’s other celebrity friends. She expressed her indignation in a since-deleted video, where she was seen pouting on the arena floor.

Following the incident at the concert, Bobbi took down the video and the original hour-long interview without providing any explanation. Speculations arose about their falling out, and it was later revealed that Bobbi’s video accurately reflected her feelings of anger and frustration about being in general admission. Sources indicate that she confronted Drake that same night, even attempting to go backstage, but was turned away by security.

It was said that Drake’s team reached out to Bobbi’s team and demanded that she remove both the video and the interview, which she promptly did. From that point on, their friendship fizzled out, and they no longer maintained contact. Despite recent implications made by Bobbi herself on Keke Palmer’s podcast, sources confirm that they have not patched things up and do not speak anymore.

The Divorce and Allegations

As for the reason behind Cory filing for divorce, it has nothing to do with allegations of cheating or Drake’s involvement. Sources reveal that the main catalyst was Bobbi’s skyrocketing fame and Cory’s desire to lead a more ordinary life. However, it is understandable that Cory may not have appreciated the cozy dynamic between Bobbi and Drake during the interview.

Following reports about the ex-couple claiming it quits, Bobbi released a statement saying,

“As most of you have heard, Cory and I have filed for divorce,” Bobbi, 26, wrote on Instagram late Wednesday, alongside a black and white photo of the former couple.  “As sad as I am right now, I am so thankful for the time I got to be his wife.”
