A Little Sound and Disrupta have joined forces for “Escape The Lights,” an anthemic new single arriving by way of Ministry of Sound.
The arrangement of “Escape The Lights” incorporates the best aspects of A Little Sound and Disrupta and fuses them into an enchanting drum & bass record. Dreamlike vocals float effortlessly atop the track’s rumbling percussion in a minimal beat with maximal energy.
It’s an instant classic, and one that should light up festivals this summer.
“Disrupta and I had just finished a session and thought we were finished for the day, until he showed me the chords for this track and instantly the track began to write itself,” A Little Sound said in a press release. “I wrote about the feeling when you’re constantly running from something, whether that’s guilt or an emotion and used ‘lights’ as a symbol for whatever that may be. Everywhere we look there are lights, so it felt right and connected to the dance.”
A Little Sound is poised for a breakout year. She ended 2023 with a handful of high-profile collaborations, including tracks with Rudimental and Hedex. Meanwhile, Disrupta has also continued to cement himself as a rising star of the UK drum & bass scene with collaborations alongside Skepsis, Gentlemens Club, MC Spyda and more.
