“Teen Mom” star Mackenzie Edwards and her estranged husband, Ryan Edwards, have made headlines over another spat.
Mackenzie has claimed that Ryan sent her a series of threatening messages after coming to her house to search for a computer cord. The duo is soon to be divorced after their marriage fell apart early last year.
How Ryan Edwards Allegedly Threatened His Mackenzie Edwards
Ryan appears to have goaded his soon-to-be ex-wife, Mackenzie, amid their brutal divorce battle. According to a report, Mackenzie was forced to call the police after she allegedly received threatening messages from her ex, which she claimed made her “scared” that he could “harm” her.
Per the police report, it all began with a seemingly trivial issue – a case of Ryan was looking for a computer cord, which he claimed was at Mackenzie’s home.
He visited the home on January 31 to search for the cord after first informing the police. Mackenzie also did the same, as she needed them to be aware “in case anything happened” while Ryan was around. This was due to the fact that she had filed a restraining order against him last year after also filing for divorce.
However, the cord wasn’t found, and Ryan left the house, promising to return on a different day to search for it. Later that night, he reportedly sent threatening messages to Mackenzie.
One of them read, “You’re going to be hard-pressed to find another place to live, and no one is going to survive anything.”
Ryan Edwards Has Reportedly Threatened Mackenzie in The Past
This is not the first time Ryan has threatened the “Teen Mom” star. Last year, he allegedly threatened her with a knife in front of their kids (among other things), which led to him being arrested and charged with harassment.
In a petition Mackenzie filed before the arrest, she detailed the incident and others where he got violent with her.
“[He] threw me down in the hallway and said if he could not have me no one could,” Mackenzie said of the knife-wielding incident, per The Ashley. She added that when she tried to leave, Ryan then pulled out the knife and threatened her.
“[Ryan] opened [his] pocket knife, put [it] to my back like he was going to kill me,” Mackenzie continued. “This was in front of children. I tried to leave, he smashed my phone, took my car keys.”
On a different occasion, he also accosted her in her bedroom and wouldn’t let her leave when things got heated.
“[Ryan] came into [my] bedroom where I was laying down. Pretending like he’s going to punch my face,” Mackenzie said about the second incident.
She added, “I went to get kids and leave. He wouldn’t let me leave. Threw me down in living room. Threw menthol nicotine in my eyes.”
