Brittany Cartwright is reacting to Stassi Schroeder‘s reasoning for not wanting to be a part of the new Vanderpump Rules spinoff, The Valley.
After Stassi, 35, appeared on Jeff Lewis‘ SiriusXM radio show, Jeff Lewis Live, where she said her life was different from The Valley‘s cast and noted that they were not her friends, Brittany, 35, revealed what made her go “Hmmm,” as she also suspected what could convince her and Beau Clark, 43, to join the show. Plus, she also shared her weight loss secret.
“I think it’s fine,” Brittany confirmed to Heavy on February 12 after being asked about Stassi’s statements.
That said, Brittany believes Stassi doesn’t understand what her and Jax Taylor‘s life is like.
“She doesn’t really know what our life is like. And I don’t really know what her life is like right now. So that was the only part where I was kind of like, ‘She doesn’t know what I do all the time,’” Brittany admitted. “I’m like I am literally a mom 24/7. But I think that was the only part where I was kind of like, ‘Hmmm.’”
While Brittany and Stassi have been estranged since she and Jax pulled out of Stassi and Beau’s wedding in May 2022 at the last moment, Brittany said she’s “happy” for Stassi and proud of all she’s accomplished since being fired from Pump Rules in 2020. And when it comes to Stassi not wanting to be a part of The Valley, Brittany understands if Stassi, who shares daughter Hartford, 3, and son Messer, five months, with Beau, “doesn’t want to come back into the reality TV world.”
As a mom to two-year-old son Cruz, Brittany understands that exposing a child to cameras can be daunting.
“It is a lot of pressure. It is different whenever you’re a parent. That’s the whole reason I was worried — I’m thinking about Cruz so much. But so I understand. I’m not mad. I’m not bitter about anything. I want nothing but the best for her. And who knows if this is a huge success maybe down the line, we could talk them into it,” Brittany continued of Stassi and Beau.
Brittany went on to say that The Valley “is going to be amazing” and “so relatable.”
“It’s just things that people are really going to be like ‘I’ve been through this.’ And it’s going to be nice for people to be able to see that. But also lots of drama. We still have Jax and Kristen, so obviously,” she noted.
During another interview, with the Daily Mail on February 11, Brittany, a Jenny Craig ambassador, shared that when it comes to her recent 45-pound weight loss, her secret is intermittent fasting and working out four to five times a week.
“I love my body and I feel great where I’m at I’ve learned portion control and intermittent fasting which is so helpful,” she explained. “I’m a runner and I use weights and I love interval training, it’s really good for me. I often do powerwalking and sprinting back-and-forth – running is good for my mental health and it’s so nice to get outside and go for a walk. If I don’t work out, I just feel sluggish.”
Although Brittany would still like to lose an additional 10 pounds, she’s more concerned with maintaining her 45-pound weight loss as she enjoys all that Jenny Craig’s at-home service has to offer.
“I like to eat their chicken fettuccine Alfredo, the chicken carbonara, pizza, cheeseburgers the breakfast omelet. There’s so much they offer that I like and I have a huge sweet tooth so I can have those things,” she revealed. “I like the chocolate lava cake, the cheesecake, and the lemon cake because I love sweets.”
The Valley is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime this spring.
