A shooting that occurred during the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade has reportedly left multiple people injured.
According to ABC News, the scary incident unfolded in Kansas City, Missouri, on Wednesday (February 14).

Fans attended the event held at Union Station to celebrate the Chiefs’ win against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday (February 11), with an estimated one million people in attendance, ABC News.
But as the ceremony drew to a close and they released the fans from inside the station, people reportedly heard several gunshots coming from a nearby garage.
The Kansas City Police confirmed in an official statement on X that they arrested two suspects.

CNN reports that the shooting has so far left eight to 10 people injured. According to the outlet, the Kansas City Fire Department spokesman Michael Hopkins has shared that one of those ten people has passed from their injuries.
Cops Urge People To Stay Away From The Area
Meanwhile, the Kansas City police have not yet revealed the identity of the two arrested individuals.
Law enforcement officials have since urged people to avoid the area as they are actively working to determine whether there were any other victims.
“We need people to exit the area as quickly and safely as possible and avoid the parking garage in order to facilitate treatment of shooting victims,” they said, per ABC News. “Many of you have footage of many officers securing Union Station, they are working to provide for the safety of everyone inside Union Station and expedite care of those injured.”
The Independent reports that upon hearing the gunshots, fans began to scramble across the area in panic, resulting in children getting separated from their parents.
It currently remains unclear in what condition the victims were in, with the Kansas City Fire Department describing the attack as a “fluid situation.”
Chiefs quarterback Drue Tranquill, one of the first players to publicly react to the devastating news, asked for prayers for the people injured at the parade.

The Kansas City Chiefs stars stood on top of double-decker buses, celebrating their feat just hours before the incident.
The team has yet to address the incident via social media, with police still puzzling together the motive behind the shooting.
