Gabriele Salvatores’ 2003 shocking thriller I’m Not Scared is coming to Blu-ray this month. Imprint Films is handling the release.
In the story of I’m Not Scared, nine-year-old Michele is playing outside in his rural Southern Italian town when he discovers Filippo. Filippo is chained to the ground at the bottom of a hole. Michele witnesses town baddie Felice nearby and suspects something bad is happening.
Michele is unsure whom to tell about his discovery, eventually spilling the beans to his closest friend. Michele’s parents learn of his discovery and warn him to forget what he saw.
Based on the 2001 novel by Niccolò Ammaniti, I’m Not Scared was nominated for the Golden Berlin Bear and the 2003 Berlin International Film Festival.
