Kyle Richards believes certain members of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast wanted to believe the worst of Erika Jayne amid her legal drama with now-estranged husband Thomas Girardi.
Following the latest episode of the show, which saw Erika, 52, opening up about the criticism and questions she received from her castmates in the past at a lunch thrown by Annemarie Wiley, 41, Kyle, 55, put her co-stars on blast as Sutton Stracke, 52, admitted to causing so much damage and explained her decision to offer Erika an apology.
“Erika got really emotional,” Garcelle Beauvais, 57, recalled on the February 14 episode of the RHOBH: After Show.
“I’m fighting about my life, things that I know. I see it portrayed a different way and to see people that I know buy into that, instead of saying, ‘Hold on a second. I actually know her,’” Erika explained.
“Some people wanted to believe it,” Kyle noted as Erika agreed.
“They really did,” she replied. “Thanks for saying that. I appreciate you saying that because I agree.”
As RHOBH fans will recall, Sutton was one of the most vocal when it came to questioning Erika about her and Tom’s legal status and potential crimes. But following a slew of rulings in Erika’s favor, Sutton took it upon herself to apologize to her castmate.
“I had no idea that what I did was gonna do so much and cause so much damage in her life so I apologized,” Sutton admitted. “We’ve seen Erika this whole season, different, so finally, it’s like we’ve gotten there, and I think I was finally at a place with her where I could truly apologize, and I just want to be included and let her know that I really mean it. I’m really sorry.”
“I never wanted to see her fail. I always wanted to see her succeed and I want her to know that and really believe that,” Sutton added.
According to Kyle, Erika was “the most [hurt] by Sutton.” And according to Erika, that’s why her apology meant so much.
“It means a lot because I know it’s not given out easily and she probably doesn’t want to apologize to me … but I was grateful for that,” Erika shared. “It was good and I invited her to my show.”
While Sutton insisted her apology was genuine, Erika ultimately saw that she had trash-talked the ticket sales of her Las Vegas residency.
“I saw her say some pretty ugly things online and it hurt my feelings. Someone brought up the ticket price of my show … It was dirty,” Erika stated.
“Those comments really shook me, especially you’re making this great comeback,” Kyle agreed. “It’s like, when she has these events at her store, we all show up and we support her. I buy things. So in hearing that, I was like, ‘Gosh. You’re just really trying your hardest to be mean right now.’”
“Especially when I texted her and invited her and it was all good and then I turn to this interview… That’s bullish*t,” Erika added.
In other RHOBH news, Kyle took to her Instagram page on Friday to debut a new addition to her family: a Bernese Mountain dog.
“Meet the new addition,” Kyle wrote in the caption of a February 16 video of the pooch. “I was sent a DM by a follower on IG who told me they had this puppy but for personal reasons could not keep her and asked if I could help find her a home. So I agreed and knew I could find a home for this beautiful baby. I purposely didn’t name her so I didn’t get attached while I was looking for the right home for her. Well, I found one … I have always wanted a Bernese Mountain dog and it felt like she was meant to be ours … We have not been able to agree on a name so would love suggestions!”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
