Looks like D.L. Hughley is not willing to sit down with Mo’Nique and work things out! While speaking with TMZ, Hughley let it be known that there is no chance of reconciliation with the “Precious” actress.
“I would never go on Club Shay Shay and no I haven’t spoken to Mo’Nique I think we said all we needed to say. I have nothing to say to her at all.” He added, “She said what she said I said what I said we’re grown people we don’t have to be in the same space but I think the idea of people needing to reconcile when they’re not seeing eye to eye is a bit of a fallacy.”

As we previously reported, Mo’Nique made an appearance on Club Shay Shay and called out a few people in the industry. During the conversation she spoke on multiple people such as Tyler Perry, Taraji P. Henson and more. After Mo’Nique’s interview began to make rounds on social media D.L. Hughley went on his Instagram account and called Mo’Nique a liar.
“The reason LIES and FALSE NARRATIVES continue to go on and circulate is because they go unchecked. What you’re not gonna do is call me out my name and not get checked… MONIQUE IS A LIAR!” He continued to write in his caption for the three minute long video he posted. “She is constantly throwing the rock and hiding the hand. You don’t get to tear people down and then soften the blow by calling them “brotha… sista… sweet baby”. That’s NOT love, far from it. I’m sure Ike thought he “LOVED” Tina too! Apologize?? I will NEVER FORGIVE OR FORGET the way you tried to manipulate my daughter’s trauma to fit your sick narrative. I don’t play when it comes to mine because “I LOVE MY FAMILY FOR REAL” AND THEY ACTUALLY LOVE ME BACK!!”
Mo’Nique recently took the time to give her thoughts on Steve Harvey after Katt Williams’ viral interview with Shannon Sharpe. In an exclusive interview with @jamesrsanders, Mo’Nique explained how things went left in her friendship with Harvey once she made an appearance on the “Steve Harvey” talk show in 2020.

“When Steve Harvey sat on that show, and he said, ‘Mo, your husband can’t be out here flexing like he do. He can’t be who he is when he come out here.’ Let me tell you what that meant,” she shared. During that Mo’Nique says she and her husband/manager Sidney Hicks were working on landing her a potential deal for talk show that was going to have the same producers as “The Steve Harvey Show.” She went on to explain that during a meeting the producers was telling Harvey’s business and shared to him how much he was getting paid which was a major turn off for them. “My husband said, ‘Number one, my wife considers that man her brother, and number two, he’s my frat brother and we don’t play like that,’” Mo’Nique said. “’ Please don’t share that man’s business with us because if you share his business with us, you’ll share our business with someone else.’”
