Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All At Once) is set to star in a new action crime thriller titled The Mother. This sounds like yet another exciting project for the actress to take on, and if you’ve been hoping to see her kick some more ass, this is a movie you’ll want to see.
Yeoh plays an immigrant mother and businesswoman in the story, who is “trying to make a new life for her family in America. But when her two teenage sons stumble into trouble with a Boston crime ring, she’s forced to rekindle her past to save them.”
The movie is being directed by actor-director Melanie Laurent from a screenplay written by P.G. Cuschieri. The movie is being produced by Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee will produce through Thunder Road (John Wick Franchise).
Production is set to kick off this summer. Yeoh is currently shooting Star Trek: Section 31 for Paramount+.
