And the winners are …
The 2024 People’s Choice Awards were handed out Sunday night from Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar, with Marvel star Simu Liu fronting the show as host.
The annual ceremony honors the people’s favorites in film, TV, pop culture and music — including honors for reality shows and stars, celebs and their social media presence and even athlete of the year.
On the movie side, Barbie and Oppenheimer dominated the nominations with nine and six noms, respectively. For TV, Only Murders in the Building at the top, leading the pack with seven nods, followed by Ted Lasso, The Morning Show and The Last of Us with six nods each and The Bear and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit with five nominations apiece.
Luke Combs, Nicki Minaj, Morgan Wallen and Taylor Swift, meanwhile, are all up for five categories each.
