RHOA OG NeNe Leakes accused of owing 5-Figure tax debt just weeks after being ordered to pay $25k in unpaid rent. Get all the deets.
NeNe Leakes once boasted on the Real Housewives of Atlanta that she was a “very rich bitch” but it seems her Bravo money may have run dry.
The former RHOA star was slapped with a state tax execution by the Georgia Department of Revenue, per Radar Online.
The reality star initially owed $17,785.22 in back taxes for various years however court documents show that NeNe’s tax debt has grown to $28,593.24 thanks to interest and fees. The documents list NeNe by name as well as her business, The Linnethia, LLC, which is believed to be connected to her now defunct nightclub lounge.
This tax issue comes just weeks after NeNe Leakes was ordered to pay $25k in a lawsuit brought on by the former landlord of her now-closed Swagg Boutique.
According to the landlord, the former Bravo star signed a lease in 2017 then extended it by a year in 2021. She claims that NeNe vacated the space in January 2022 but failed to pay $22k in unpaid rent.
When the landlord attempted to collect the unpaid rent from NeNe she refused to pay which forced the landlord to file paperwork against the reality star in August 2023.
On August 16, 2023, the RHOA alum was served with legal paperwork outside of her $1 million condo in Atlanta.
NeNe claims she is not responsible for any rent owed as she did not sign the rental agreement on the space – her now deceased husband, Gregg Leakes did.
Gregg died on September 1, 2021 at the age of 66 after a long battle with cancer.
Instead of tackling the legal issue head on, NeNe never responded and as a result a judge “ordered her to pay $22k in unpaid rent, $2,315 in attorney fees and another $400 in court costs.”
The RHOA alum has an estimated net worth of $14 million. She has yet to publicly address this latest legal woe.
