Coming soon to the big screen is a new fly-on-the-wall documentary about English Premier League side Liverpool FC. Jurgen Kopp recently announced that he will be leaving the position as Liverpool manager at the end of the current 2023/24 campaign, and the cameras will follow his final season in charge.
Let’s dive straight in to discover everything we know so far about the upcoming documentary about England’s most successful football team.

What do we know so far about Liverpool’s upcoming new fly-on-the-wall documentary?Unfortunately, very little is known about the new upcoming multi-episodic docuseries about EPL side Liverpool FC. However, the format will likely be similar to several other popular football documentaries that have been released over the past few years and will give fans an unprecedented look at one of the world’s most iconic football clubs.

In fact, it’s currently being filmed, directed, and produced by the same company that brought us the ‘Diego Maradona’ and ‘Make Us Dream’ movies – Lorton Entertainment.

It will look at the club’s rich and colourful history and relationship with its fans, giving us direct insight into how the club has become such a huge success both on and off the pitch. A major focus will be on the club’s culture.

Jurgen Klopp once stated that he would leave Liverpool if he was forced into being part of a documentary where cameras follow him into the sanctity of the changing rooms so that people could scrutinise every movement he and the players make.

However, despite recently announcing he will leave the club at the end of the season, it is for other reasons and not because of the intrusion of the fly-on-the-wall documentary. The production team has only been given access to certain areas agreed upon by the players and Klopp himself.

Can Liverpool win the 2023/24 English Premier League or the UEFA Europa League? The quickest and most reliable way to find out if Liverpool can win either trophy this year would be to check the latest odds for both markets on the official Unibet betting app, which is well known for having some of football’s most competitive odds.
Here are the latest odds for Liverpool to win the EPL and Europa League:

-Competition: English Premier League. Favourites to win: Second odds-on favourites behind Manchester City. Fractional odds: 5/2. Decimal odds: 3.50. American/moneyline odds: +250. IPR (implied probability rate): 28.60%-Competition: UEFA Europa League. Favourites to win: Odds-on favourites to win the tournament outright. Fractional odds: 9/4. Decimal odds: 3.25. American/moneyline odds: +225. IPR (implied probability rate): 30.80%

As you can see from these latest odds, Liverpool have a good chance of winning the double this year – the EPL and Europa League. Don’t forget that these odds are subject to change at any time.

What else do we know about the new Liverpool documentary? Some of the things we are likely to see in the documentary are interviews with the players, moments when they arrive for training and matches, exclusive access to areas most people never get to see, and other behind-the-scenes footage at various other key areas of the club.

Disney+ is currently the favourite in the running to obtain the rights, but Netflix or Amazon Prime could easily swoop in and secure the rights to host the programme before any other streaming sites get their hands on it. Liverpool will reportedly earn £10 million from the fly-on-the-wall documentary, and the first of eight episodes is likely to air in August 2024 before the 2024/25 EPL campaign starts.

Are there any other football documentaries worth watching? If you’re looking for football documentaries to watch while you’re waiting for this new Liverpool one to arrive, some of the other popular shows worth watching are the All or Nothing (Brazil National Team, German National Team, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and Arsenal) docuseries.

You also have Welcome to Wrexham, Sunderland ‘Til I Die, The Class of ’92, Ronaldo, Rooney, and Messi. If that’s not enough to keep you going, don’t forget to check out Gascoigne, Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In, Beckham, George Best: All By Himself, and Arsene Wenger: Invincible.
