Universal Pictures and producer Steven Spielberg are developing a new Jurassic World movie that has been described as a “complete reboot.” Original Jurassic Park scribe David Koepp is writing the script and now the studio is in talks with a director to helm the movie. That director is John Wick, Bullet Train, and Deadpool 2 director David Leitch!

David Leitch directing a Jurassic World movie!? That sounds like it would be freakin’ awesome and insane! Ok… yeah, I would definitely want to watch that movie! I’m completely on board with that! Now we just have to wait and see if he ultimately ends up directing the film.

The new Jurassic World movie will be “a completely fresh take” on the franchise, and stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are not expected to return. Don’t expect to see Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, or Sam Neill to show up either.

It’s explained that Universal still sees this as a franchise “that hasn’t lost its luster with fans as the most recent pic, Jurassic World: Dominion, bringing in a billion dollars at the global box-office and have been anxious to dive back into the universe with a fresh take.”

By bringing on a director like Leitch, Universal is clearly not messing around with this next film and they want another huge box office hit with this franchise! Leitch has a unique filmmaking style, especially when it comes to his badass action sequences!
