Part of The L Word franchise, The L Word: New York is a drama series currently in development at Showtime. Not much is known about the cast and premise except that the show will be a reboot of the original series set in New York. If you are wondering when it is coming out, this is what we have discovered.

Here’s all The L Word: New York release date information we know so far, and all the details on when it is coming out.

Is there a The L Word: New York release date?

The L Word: New York’s release date could arrive by sometime in 2025.

In March 2023, when The L Word: Generation Q (2019-2023) was canceled after three seasons, Showtime announced that a reboot of the original series, The L Word (2004-2009), was in development. The reboot will be set in New York, and Ilene Chaiken, who was one of the co-creators of both the original series and Generation Q, is part of the production of the new series. If The L Word: New York goes into production this year, it can potentially come out sometime in 2025.

This date is an estimation based on the information we have at the time of this writing.

Where is The L Word: New York coming out?

The L Word: New York is anticipated to come out on Showtime sometime in 2025.

This is because all the other entries in The L Word franchise came out on the same platform. ComingSoon will provide an update when the official release date for The L Word: New York is announced.

The official synopsis for The L Word: New York reads:

“A reboot of the groundbreaking original series set in New York City.”
