EXCLUSIVE: Evan Jonigkeit (Sweetbitter, Archive 81) is joining the cast of the upcoming Starz drama The Hunting Wives in a series regular role. The 8-episode project will begin production this spring in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Jonigkeit will play Graham O’Neil, Sophie’s (Brittany Snow) safe, solid and somewhat clueless husband. He loves his wife but does not know how to handle her emotional baggage. He thinks the move to Texas will help Sophie, and he encourages her involvement with Margo (Malin Åkerman) – but he has no idea of the Pandora’s Box it will open.
Written by Rebecca Cutter based on the novel by May Cobb, The Hunting Wives tells the story of Sophie O’Neil and her family’s move from the East Coast to deep East Texas, where she succumbs to socialite Margo Bank’s irresistible charms – and finds her life consumed by obsession, seduction and murder.
In addition to Jonigkeit, Snow and Åkerman, Deadline exclusively revealed on Friday that Dermot Mulroney will also star.
Showrunner Cutter executive produces with Cobb and 3 Arts’ Erwin Stoff. The series is produced by Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment. The series is produced by Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment.

For the big screen, Jonigkeit appeared in the William Atticus Parker-directed Atrabilious, Monodrome from Lionsgate and Prime Video’s Somebody I Used To Know.
