Tyler Perry continues to be the gift that keeps on giving: In a heartwarming display of support, the filmmaker has extended a lifeline to actress Cocoa Brown in her time of need. After a devastating fire consumed her home, leaving her and her young son Phoenix in a state of shock and loss, Tyler Perry’s generous donation of $400,000 has brought hope back into their lives.
While speaking exclusively with @TMZ_TV, Cocoa Brown, known for her roles in “For Better or Worse” and a range of movies and TV shows, expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support she has received. In addition to Tyler Perry’s significant contribution, celebrities like Tiffany Haddish, Marlon Wayans, Byron Allen, Sherri Shepherd, and “The Breakfast Club” podcast team, as well as a multitude of friends, family, and fans, have rallied around Cocoa with generous donations.
As reported by the news outlet, Cocoa’s entire Fayetteville, GA, property, sadly went up in flames with sources telling TMZ it may have been started by a lit candle falling into some clothes in the house. Amidst the emotional turmoil of witnessing her home engulfed in flames, Cocoa found solace in the love and support of her community. She emphasized the strength and unity that emerged from the tragedy, highlighting the bond that has been deepened between her family and humanity as a whole.
She told the outlet, “having each other, our fur babies, and seeing and feeling all this love has strengthened our love for each other and humanity.”

He also donated $25,000 to a San Fernando Valley family after seeing a FOX 11 report about their plumbing work van being stolen.
