Latin superstar Bad Bunny is the latest celebrity to be called out and blasted by PETA as the rapper-singer-songwriter kicked off his ‘Most Wanted‘ tour in Salt Lake City, Utah on Wednesday evening (February 21).
In viral videos from Bad Bunny’s show, he is seen wearing an all-denim outfit while riding on the back of a chestnut-colored horse. While mounted on top of the horse, Bad Bunny takes the animal out into the spotlight with hundreds of fans screaming for the “Me Porto Bonito” singer.

Since going viral with his latest performance, Bad Bunny has now come under fire by animal rights group PETA. Taking to their TikTok account, the organization posted a video of the reggaetonero and boldly chastised him for seemingly taking advantage of an innocent animal.
In white letters sitting within the video, PETA wrote, “Bad Bunny: Using a horse as a prop for your tour is cruel and irresponsible. The horse, the fans, or you could’ve been hurt!”

In their message, the organization tried to make it clear that not only should Bad Bunny not have used the animal as a prop, but that horses are known to be skittish, so having them around bright lights and loud noise, ie: a concert setting, is a no-go as it could’ve set the horse off and caused harm to itself, Bad Bunny and anyone else nearby.
In addition to backlash from PETA, Bad Bunny also caught heat from the rest of the internet. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), one critic wrote, “This is animal abuse.” Another said, “This is the most disgusting thing ever.” A third chimed in, “His poor ears with all those screaming people and speakers.”
Speaking with Newsweek, PETA U.S. Senior Vice President Lisa Lange said, “Horses are extremely skittish individuals, and they’re not props to be ridden across a stage amid flashing lights, booming music and noisy crowds. As they’re easily spooked, this could have ended in tragedy, all for an absurd and thoughtless gimmick.”
