Mia Thornton is seen seemingly issuing a threat to Karen Huger concerning what she’s heard about her alleged cheating in a just-released sneak peek at Sunday’s new episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac.
During a dinner with their castmates, Mia, 39, and Karen, 60, begin feuding over the cheating rumors they’ve both been faced with amid season eight when Mia suggests that when it came to what she heard about a trip Karen took to Las Vegas, she hasn’t yet shared the “true story.”
“So, at [Nneka Ihim]’s house, you told Mia that she was screwing a rapper and screwing a married man,” Gizelle Bryant, 53, says in a sneak peek. “In years past, if I had said that, you would be going on a rampage of, ‘Gizelle’s trying to destroy families. Gizelle’s trying to not respect marriages. Gizelle, Gizelle, Gizelle.’”
Although Gizelle feels there’s a double standard within the group, Karen pointed out that she’s no stranger to rumors, signaling to past claims made about her marriage to Ray Huger.
“I will say this: You all have come after my marriage time after time again,” she reminds the cast. “I am done turning the other cheek because you guys are so f*cking disrespectful at all times to my marriage and to me. And, Mia, I brought you into this group.”
“So why would you be disrespectful to my marriage if you don’t want me to be disrespectful to yours?” Mia claps back, pointing to her since-ended relationship with Gordon Thornton.
“I brought it to you in your face what I had heard about you,” Karen explains. “Now mind you, you talk about me behind my back. And when I say something to you, I say it to you in front of everybody.”
After Mia was then seen bringing up the rumors about Karen’s supposed infidelity to her face in a flashback clip, Karen continued on, suggesting that within their friend group, the ladies often talk about one another behind their backs.
“Then it’s blown out of proportion. I’m done with that,” she states. “My thing is Mia, understand this: I am human, too, and I bleed.”
“Which is why I haven’t shared the true story,” Mia interjects.
“You don’t know my true story,” Karen fires back.
But Mia doesn’t back down, instead asking, “You want to try it?”
