Ariana Madix opened up about her past experience with James Kennedy‘s dog Hippie, formerly known as Graham after the two were seen reuniting on Tuesday’s episode of Vanderpump Rules.
As Tom Sandoval, 41, slammed his ex-mistress, Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, 29, for abandoning the animal, and Tom Schwartz, 40, admitted it was “super twisted” that the pup ended up at a pound, Ariana, 38, said she’d experienced aggression from Graham.
“I’ve seen some very intense like food or toy like protective, aggression type stuff to the point where it’s like, ‘I’m not trying to take anything away from you, I’m literally putting food in the bowl, and you’re trying to bite me,’” Ariana shared on the February 20 episode of the Pump Rules: After Show.
Meanwhile, Lala Kent, 33, said the animal was “James, in dog form.”
“100 percent,” James agreed. “It literally is me. [Ally Lewber] says that every day.”
Looking back at the moment in which Lisa Vanderpump, 63, surprised him with Graham at Vanderpump Dogs, James said it was “one of the best moments of my life.”
“I just can’t believe it. It’s like we were destined to be together. We had a bond that was impenetrable,” he gushed. “I had no idea [that was coming]. It’s like an out-of-body experience. At first, I was excited, scared, sad, happy, what’s going on? That was one of the happiest moments of my day and scary because I’m scared to accept it again that he’s really mine.”
And while his castmates wondered if he ever thought the dog may not have been Graham, with Lala in particular suspecting the animal was an “imposter,” James said he had no doubts.
“I know his face. I know his whisker, his belly,” he noted.
Elsewhere, the Toms reacted to claims of Graham being on the brink of euthanization due to Raquel’s inability to care for him.
“For now, Graham to end up in a dog pound or whatever… And to be possibly euthanized, that’s a really bad look,” Sandoval noted.
“Super twisted … It did not reflect well,” Schwartz agreed.
As for Graham’s behavioral issues, James said he’s a “different dog.”
“He’s always with a family member. If Ally and I go out of town, Harry’s at the house, watching the house, watching the cats, Harry shows as much love to Hippie as he does the cats, he treats them both equal. He’s the best brother in the world. We got a little system happening. Nothing’s breaking that fam apart, I’ll tell you that,” James noted. “And he’s gonna be happy for the rest of his days and loved and taken care of.”
“I take him to the vet just for checkups like once a month basically just because the doctors are great. He’s just like, the best thing ever. He’s like my son, that’s how I look at him. He’s smart. He’s an A student. He’s going out for the soccer team next week,” he jokingly added.
Vanderpump Rules season 11 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
