Kanye West has provided some details about his relationship with adidas, revealing that the company is using his designs without compensating him.
On Monday (February 26), the Chicago native took to social media to talk about his messy fallout with the sportswear titan while insisting that his fans don’t purchase any of their Yeezy-inspired products.
“Let me explain really clear to you guys what’s happening with adidas,” he began in an Instagram clip. “Not only are they putting out fake colorways that are not approved, they’re suing me for $250,000,000 and they’re also not paying me for these shoes that they’re putting out that have my name on it.
“They’re using contract clauses and 50 years of business experience to rape an artist — one of ya’ll favorite artist — right in front of ya’ll, in broad daylight.”
Snoop Dogg even hopped in the comments section of the above post to show his support with: “Speak ya truth [thumbs-up emoji, bicep-flex emoji].”
In a separate post, he screenshot a 350 V2 shoe listing on the adidas IG page and captioned it: “Anybody who loves Ye would not buy these fake Yeezys I never made these color ways I’m not getting paid off of them and adidas is suing me.
“All these celebrities and the public will stand against a T shirt or the color of my hat but when yall see me have my children hidden from me or see an actual Fortune 500 company rape one of your heroes in real life don’t nobody say nothing or do nothing.”
He concluded: “As far as the system goes What yall gone do now Take my album down again Freeze my accounts again Threaten people to not work with me again All the new non approved 350’s are cooorny.”

Contrary to the above claims, Ye said last month that the adidas is suing him for more than he’s worth.
In late January, the social media account of an Atlanta-based sneaker company shared a photograph of a Yeezy Pod to point out that the sizing doesn’t match the product’s proportions. The caption read: “So this what they mean when Size 3 fits size 10-13 in the Yzy Pod?”

The “Touch The Sky” hitmaker caught wind of this and messaged ATATF on Instagram to offer insight regarding all that he’s currently dealing with in the fashion space, revealing that his dispute with adidas is far from over.
“I worked for a year on these and put them out myself,” he wrote. “[Michael] Jordan wanted to do his own brand and Nike threatened Footlocker to pull all they shoes out the stores. Adidas copied all my shit and treated me like shit.
“adidas is suing me for 4 billion dollars and selling my shoes without paying me and they said I misused the marketing fund when I am the marketing. That’s why they sent me the money in the first place. You have no idea how much work I’ve put in to everything we do.”
