President Joe Biden has revealed he is getting his physical at Walter Reed, amid mental health concerns and backlash from the public.
As we’ve reported, over the past several months, Joe Biden, the oldest-ever president, has been slammed for his recent speeches and press conferences due to speaking mishaps and other mistakes. In some cases, people are posting and believing he is “senile” and is suffering from “dementia.”
Now, the President of the United States has revealed he is going to get an annual physical — although, this is not related to his mental health concerns and is reportedly a planned annual physical.
President Joe Biden Heads To Walter Reed For His Physical
The 81-year-old President of the United States shouted, “I’m going to Walter Reed to get my physical” as he walked to the Marine One helicopter in front of the White House.
This announcement comes after the President has received backlash for his mental well-being and concerns surrounding his age. Some of the mishaps and concerning events that the public seemingly cannot let slide include Biden struggling to remember what years he served as Vice President and not being able to name the year his son passed away — something that the President was not happy about, saying, “How in the h-ll dare he raise that?” at the time.
“I think that [Biden’s] health and age kind of gets in the way of his ability to be a good President of the United States,” a female Democratic poll respondent from Wisconsin told NBC.
Another mishap that gained backlash from the public was when Biden referred to Egypt’s Abdel Fattah el-Sisi as the president of Mexico.
Joe Biden’s Mental Health Being Questioned By Public
A recently released report from special counsel Robert Hur on Biden’s alleged mishandling of classified documents stated that the President of the United States should not face criminal charges — in part, because no jury would convict him due to his mental health state.
In his report, he says his team “uncovered evidence that President Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency” but that “Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
Biden will most likely be running against former President Donald Trump in the upcoming election, who is just four years younger than Biden. Despite being close in age, many voters are more concerned about Biden’s age than Trump’s age.
A recent poll from the Wall Street Journal found that 73% of registered voters believed Biden was too old to serve as President versus 47% of voters who said Trump was too old.
Another poll, this time from the New York Times, found 71% of swing-state voters say Biden is “too old to be an effective president” compared to 39% who said the same of Trump.
Plus, an ABC News/Ipsos poll found that 86% of US adults said Biden is too old for another term. 59% said that both Biden and Trump are too old to serve.
