Margaret Qualley has been to some interesting venues to promote her new film, Drive-Away Dolls.

The actress stopped by Late Night With Seth Meyers where she discussed the project from Ethan Coen and his wife, Tricia Cooke. While chatting with Meyers, Qualley explained that its press tour took her to a vibrator museum in San Francisco.

“It was memorable,” she told the late night host. “You know, I wanted more time there, but I left thinking, like, ‘I don’t know that anyone should put that inside of them.’ Like, those ancient vibrators… It seemed dangerous.”

She and Meyers went on to joke about how the scientists who worked on the technological improvements of more recent vibrators were the “real heroes,” who should have TV shows made about them, instead of those made about people at NASA.

Elsewhere in the appearance, Qualley noted that the film was originally titled Drive-Away Dykes but that the marketing team felt that would interfere with its reach. She explained that they were concerned some movie theaters wouldn’t feel comfortable putting that on a marquee. The Maid star also sang her co-stars’ praises, calling Geraldine Viswanathan and Beanie Feldstein “the best people.”

Pedro Pascal, Colman Domingo, Matt Damon, Bill Camp, Joey Slotnick and C. J. Wilson. round out the Drive-Away Dolls cast, which made for a fun dynamic on set.

“Everyone knew the tone of the movie,” co-writer Cooke told The Hollywood Reporter at the film’s New York premiere. “Every day on set, it was just kind of joyful, and people were happy to play.”

The lesbian road comedy follows two women, played by Viswanathan and Qualley, as they embark on a road trip to Tallahassee, Florida, but things quickly go awry when they come across a group of inept criminals.

Drive-Away Dolls is in theaters now.
