Lala Kent received kind words from Ambyr Childers after announcing her second pregnancy on Sunday.
Years after the ladies feuded over the start of Lala’s since-ended romance with Randall Emmett, 52, whom Ambyr, 35, was married to at the time, the Vanderpump Rules star and the actress, who both share children with Randall, are in a good place. So, when Lala confirmed she was expecting a child after intrauterine insemination (IUI), Ambyr was one of many who congratulated her.
“Congratulations mama!” Ambyr wrote in a comment to Lala’s March 3 post, which featured a photo of daughter Ocean, 2, who she shares with Randall, looking up at her baby bump.
After Ambyr reacted to Lala’s baby news, an insider revealed details about how the ladies were able to settle their differences.
“Although things between Lala and Ambyr were rocky at first, they squashed any issues they had years ago,” a source told Us Weekly on March 4, noting that it was “really important” to Lala to “make amends” with Ambyr.
“They both have a mutual goal and understanding — doing what’s best for their girls,” the source said.
As fans may know, Ambyr and Randall share daughters London and Rhylee, whom they welcomed before their 2017 split.
While Lala denied being a mistress to Randall amid his marriage to Ambyr, Ambyr once labeled her as such. But despite their rocky moments with one another, Lala and Ambyr were able to get to a good place with one another after Lala and Randall split in October 2021.
In fact, just months after the breakup, Lala said she had “compassion” for Ambyr.
“I think she is a great woman and a great mom. I will be honest — I think she is the best thing that ever happened to that guy,” she said on Watch What Happens Live in January 2022. “I just think the way that he and I came to be, looking back on it, was so gross and messy and just something that was built on nothing but lies. Knowing what I know about her, I think she was a good one and he messed up.”
And Lala and Ambyr aren’t just civil. They’re actually friends and have spent time with their girls together on a number of occasions.
“They have spent holidays and birthdays together numerous times over the years and they get along great,” the source shared. “Although Lala split from Randall, she’s still really close with his and Ambyr’s girls and she absolutely adores them. Lala and Ambyr have so much in common and they communicate on a regular basis.”
