Hayden Panettiere (Scream VI) and Tyler James Williams (Abbott Elementary) are set to star in Lionsgate’s upcoming thriller, Amber Alert. The under-the-radar movie has already been shot and is now in post-production.
In the film, “An ordinary ride share becomes a high-stakes game of cat and mouse. The story will follow Jaq (Panettiere) who is eager to get to her first day at a new job, and her driver, Shane (Williams), who is just trying to earn a little extra at his side hustle. An alert of a child abduction on their phones will change all that when they discover they are behind a car that matches the description of the kidnapper’s. Unable to let a possible child trafficker escape, they begin a pursuit that will put their own lives at risk.”
After taking several years off from acting for self-care, Panettiere made her return to the big screen in Scream VI, and it was nice to see her back in action. I’ve always like her work and it’s good to see that she’s got another film project coming. It sounds like a great project for her.
The movie is directed by Kerry Bellessa from a script she wrote with Joshua Oram.
