Kathy Hilton has weighed in on her sister Kyle Richards‘ decision to split from husband Mauricio Umansky.
According to the 64-year-old star, Richards had been contemplating the decision for some time before finally making the decision.

Several notable moments occurred during Part 2 of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” Season 13 reunion, which aired on March 6.
One such moment featured Hilton revealing that her sister had probably considered divorcing Umansky for several years before taking action. In the words of the socialite:
“Kyle, she’s not a compulsive person. She doesn’t just jump in and make a decision. Kyle didn’t decide this in three months. I bet she had been thinking [about this] for the last three or four years. I shouldn’t say that but I did.”
She then mentioned that Richards and Umansky are dealing with the end of their 27-year marriage by pursuing their individual interests and activities.
Notably, Umansky has become a familiar face on “Dancing with the Stars,” while his estranged wife has been busy refuting speculations of a romantic involvement with her friend Morgan Wade.
In fact, the 55-year-old disclosed during an Amazon Live session last week that she and Umansky have an understanding that permits them to see other people.
Amid the unfolding situation, TMZ reported that fans will see all the details of the couple’s marital crash in the second season of “Buying Beverly Hills,” which will air on Netflix on March 22.
A previously released trailer for the reality series depicts Umansky discussing the separation with his daughters Alexia, Sophia, and Portia, as well as his stepdaughter Farrah, whom Richards shares with her ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie.

Despite Hilton’s claims about Richards’ decision to leave Umansky, longtime fans of the family are aware that the relationship between the sisters is not all fun.
Umansky recently weighed in on the duo’s relationship after his estranged wife made zero headway with her tearful attempt to mend it during the recently aired reunion of “RHOBH.”
As the real estate broker shared:
“I think it’s sad how [their fight] is being portrayed, the way it’s being received and what’s going on. But Kyle’s so strong and she is such a good person that she’s not even out there really trying to defend herself too much and she’s just taking it in the chin, like the strong person she is.”

The television personality has also expressed her regret about the public exposure of her relationship with her sisters, Hilton and Kim Richards, on the long-running Bravo show. She acknowledged that having her family dynamics displayed for millions was challenging.
She specifically noted that her most trying times on the show coincided with the seasons that involved her sisters, stating that the difficulty of seasons five and twelve was “no coincidence.”
