Andy Cohen Threatens to Sue Leah McSweeney

The Big Daddy of Bravo, Andy Cohen, is firing back at Leah McSweeny’s claims, particularly the one about him doing drugs with Housewives.

Andy Cohen’s lawyers are fired up and threatening to sue Real Housewives of New York alum Leah McSweeney for her claim that the Watch What Happens Live host “snorts cocaine” with his favorite Real Housewives.

The Bravo honcho, who along with Bravo, is being sued by Leah intentionally preying on her alcohol addiction so they could hit the ratings jackpot.

The lawsuit claims that Bravo, Shed Media, and Andy Cohen “discriminated against, tormented,  demoralized, demeaned, harassed and retaliated against Ms. McSweeney because she is a woman with disabilities, such as alcohol use disorder and various mental health disorders, all in the name of selling drama. But being in the business of reality television does not relieve [them] of their obligation to follow employment laws that prohibit the exact type of discrimination, hostile work environment, and retaliation that Defendants subjected Ms. McSweeney to. Now, Ms. McSweeney  seeks justice.”

In her filing, Leah also alleged that Andy Cohen “snorts cocaine” with Housewives.

Now, Andy Cohen’s attorneys have fired off a letter to Leah, claiming that her allegation of cocaine use against Andy is false and defamatory.

To start, Andy Cohen’s legal team calls Leah’s allegations “baseless and false.”

“We demand that you immediately retract and withdraw all allegations relating to Mr. Cohen’s purported ‘cocaine use,’” the legal letter read.

The 55-year-old’s legal team continued, “To be clear: these allegations are categorically false. Mr. Cohen never used cocaine with any cast member on any Real Housewives show or with any other Bravo employee. The absence of any reasonable basis to make such allegations is confirmed by your pleading itself.”

Andy’s legal team points out that Leah doesn’t give any concrete facts or details in her claims because she knows it’s not true. They insist that Leah’s made this salacious claim against her former boss to get headlines and hopefully get a quick payday.

The legal letter concluded: “The truth matters. Litigation cannot be used to create fake news. And it cannot be used as a vehicle to spread false and malicious lies, in furtherance of a shakedown. We demand that you issue an immediate public retraction and apologize to Mr. Cohen. Every day you fail to do so only increases the damages suffered by Mr. Cohen.”

Meanwhile, a source close to Leah tells TMZ that she is “flabbergasted” that Andy is bringing more attention to this in the press instead of having it shake out in court.

A source close to Andy Cohen notes that the RHONY alum shouldn’t be surprised he is defending himself and his reputation.

“Of course, Andy should defend himself in the public with the truth. Why should she be allowed to spew lies about his character?” the source said to TMZ.
