Former First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump, has broken her social media silence by sharing a heartfelt message to mark International Women’s Day.
Prior to this, the last time Melania made a post was to thank her supporters for their kind words following the passing of her mother, Amalija Knavs.
Melania’s International Women’s Day message comes amid heightened scrutiny of her marriage and lack of involvement in her husband, Donald Trump‘s election campaign.

She Recently Came Under Fire For Being Absent During Her Husband’s Victory Speech
Melania’s recent post comes after she faced backlash from MAGA supporters for not being by her husband, Donald Trump’s side, during his speech at Mar-a-Lago following his victory on Super Tuesday.
The 53-year-old’s absence made fans speculate that Melania “wants nothing to do with the White House.”
Since Trump began his re-election campaign, Melania has barely made an appearance. The last time the duo were seen together was at a gala held by the Trumpettes, a Donald Trump fan club, at Mar-a-Lago.
“Melania wants nothing to do with the White House or Donald, apparently. She showed up at one dinner in the past several months,” an individual wrote on X.
Amid the outrage from MAGA, Melania’s former aide, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, revealed the reason why she was absent during Trump’s speech.
She wrote, “Melania Trump was NOT at Donald’s victory party because she did NOT have to be. His supporters do NOT care if she is by his side or NOT, so now she does NOT have to be. NOThing more, NOThing less.”
New Book Details Strained Relationship Between Melania & Donald Trump
Trump and Melania’s marriage has come under severe scrutiny in recent times, with many claiming that the couple is no longer as close as they once were.
In the book, “American Woman: The Transformation of the Modern First Lady, From Hillary Clinton to Jill Biden,” New York Times reporter Katie Rogers detailed several moments when the pair were at loggerheads.
One of these moments took place in 2018 because of the Stormy Daniels hush money allegation. Melania was reportedly angry with Trump and wanted to “humiliate” him.
According to a report, the mother of one was so angry that she decided against traveling with her husband abroad at the time and instead returned to their Mar-a-Lago.
“[FLOTUS press secretary Stephanie] Grisham, who traveled with her on that jaunt, said that the first lady had wanted to communicate her anger to the president,” Rogers claimed in her book.
Grisham further shared with Rogers that Melania “was p—– at Trump and wanted him to be a little humiliated that she took off.”
