According to a criminal complaint obtained by WFRV, police in Green Bay, Wisconsin were called to the east side of the city in the 900 block of East Walnut Street for a reported disturbance on Tuesday (March 5), around 10 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, two people were handcuffed and placed into the back of a squad car. Kroll, who was reportedly standing outside with no shirt on, was also taken into custody.
Per WFRV, the complaint repeatedly refers to the interestingly-named Wisconsin man by his Wisconsin ID card, which reads, “Deez-Nuts Lee Kroll,” however, he was previously known as Derrick Lee Kroll. Additionally, in the paperwork, police claimed that Kroll appeared to be highly intoxicated but that he did follow the officers’ commands.

Police also said that the two people who officers first placed into the back of the police car told them that everything started a few hours earlier. The two people were arguing with Kroll over the phone around 8 p.m. and about two hours later, around 10 p.m., they showed up at Kroll’s front door. When he opened it, he reportedly punched one of two people in the shoulder with a closed fist, thus leading to the alleged physical altercation, during which Kroll allegedly grabbed a firearm.
Police said they recovered the weapon, placed it into evidence, and later learned it was a CO2 BB gun that was reportedly loaded and had eight silver 4.5mm BBs inside. Investigators said that when Kroll was interviewed it was very obvious that he was “talking in circles.”

The first misdemeanor carries a prison sentence of up to nine months and the second carries up to 90 days in prison, which can be increased by six months since Kroll was accused of possessing a dangerous weapon.
According to court records, Kroll had his first appearance on Wednesday (March 6) at 2 p.m. He was since released on a $1,000 signature bond and is due back at the Brown County Courthouse on April 24 for a status conference.
